Frank Gore aiming to play a 16th season https://t.co/75yFklq7MD

Frank Gore will be 37 if/when he straps on his helmet for a 16th NFL season. 16 NFL seasons is noteworthy at any position, but as a RB, Gore is approaching uncharted territory:

And then there is the rushing yards list, where Gore sits at #3 after passing Barry Sanders this year.
Short of Roger Goodell making a Frank Gore HGH exception, it is highly unlikely he will reach Walter Payton’s number. The bigger question is whether or not Gore will join the 16 season RB list. Gore signed a one-year deal with the Bills last year, and while he served as a valuable mentor to emerging rookie Devin Singletary, it is not clear whether the Bills are willing to use a RB spot on the 37 year old that averaged 3.6 YPC last year.
That said, Gore told NBC’s Chris Simms “I still feel good. I know I can still play. It’s just gotta be right.” Source: Miami Herald. Why not back to Miami where in 2018, Gore averaged 4.6 YPC in a limited backup role (156 ATT). Surely, there is a team out there that could find a use for this ageless wonder.
